Practicing the virtue of dependence
The image of the church as a "body" reminds us, among other things, that God made us so that we would be dependent upon one another. And as a brand new church body we are really dependent upon one another.
We are in the infant stages of building teams for every aspect of our current and future life together: running sound, the aesthetics of the space, music, community engagement, reading, prayer, communion serving, greeting, set up and take down, discipling our little ones in nursery or (future) children's ministries*...
We would love—and need!—one another. So please consider how you might get involved in these early stages.
Contact pastoral staff for more information.
*Please note that for the safety of our children, all volunteers in the children's ministries will be required to provide a confidential background check and complete a safety course through Church of the Cross.
